How long are sessions and what are your fees?
I am in-network provider with Aetna, Cigna, BlueCross BlueShield, Oxford Health Care Plans, United Health Care and UMR, and Optum EAP through the Alma network for New York State Residents.
Fees for individual psychotherapy vary however sessions can be scheduled in increments of 45mins. I do offer sliding scale rates for those who cannot afford the full price or co-payment.
I can provide you with a billing statement to submit for reimbursement directly to your insurance company with all other providers I am out of network for. Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:
Do I have out-of-network mental health insurance benefits?
What is my deductible and has it been met?
How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
What is the coverage amount per 45min-therapy session?
Is approval required from my primary care physician?
Are sessions in person or remote?
To ensure safety and convenience, all services are provided remotely via video conferencing services.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Insurance (Aetna, Cigna, Oxford, Optum, United Health Care, UMR) , Alma HIPPA complaint payment platform and IVY Pay (HIPPA Compliant Payment Platform utilizing American Express, Visa, Mastercard and Discover)
What happens if I miss a session?
No worries! Life happens. Please communicate no later than 12 hours if you cannot make your session. If it is an emergency, please let us know as soon as you can and we’ll reschedule. Please be advised there is a strict policy that if a session is missed with no communication (no show) you will forfeit participation in Blackwell Counseling Firm’s services.
